The homeowners decided to upgrader the existing windows to double-glazed to limit disruption from outside noise, reduce unnecessary heat loss and lower their energy bills.

MWM Matt Window Mate, carried out work on traditional timber sash windows freeing this family house from its tired and draughty windows, making sure that the aesthetic characteristics were not affected.

In total 14 sliding sash windows were installed, finished in ‘White’ with new decorative cover boards internally.

 

Although visually the property remains full of traditional charm, the new ultra-efficient double-glazed units filled with krypton gas make the world of difference to the feel of the home.

All individual windows were finished with Farrow and Ball paint of a contemporary shade of " All White".

Work extended to the front door, which we not only upgraded to look beautiful but also to be more energy efficient by installing a professional draught proofing system.
