Beautifully completed renovation, featuring classic timber sash windows

Located in the sea-side town of the West Coast of Scotland is a really impressive 19th-century two storey sandstone-built villa filled with character and charm.

The homeowners completely redesigned this impressive B listed property into a beautiful and relaxing family home to reflect their own personal style.

"I was looking to have my sash windows restored in a listed building.

I was recommended to use MWM and I was not disappointed Matt and his team have done a fantastic job the windows are perfect the guys were polite, always on time, clean and tidy whilst working.

We were really happy with the finished result."

We were contracted to restore all traditional timber sash windows to their original glory with the addition of modern draft proofing and sound insulation.

There were some unique challenges, not least fitting tinted glass into the sash and case window which adorns the sauna room. This provides stunning natural light with absolute privacy for those inside.

In total MWM the sash window experts, have worked on over fifty windows within this beautiful property, undoubtedly now one of the finest homes in the West Coast of Scotland.

We have carried out a unique restoration treatment and installed the draught-proofing system, improving the performance of the windows whilst eradicating draughts and rattles.

MWM Matt Window Mate also made new sash windows which were installed in the original building to provide extra light.

These new sash windows were specifically crafted to match the profile of the existing windows and to maintain the character of this historic home.

It was amazing to watch the transformation of the house in progress to get its period charm back.

The final outcome is just outstanding!
